A very poorly attended
but pleasant meeting of
the club was held at C.L. Gilkins
3-11-1911. Only seven members,
counting our host were present.
These were J.B. Stabler, Asa
Stabler, Newton Stabler, Malcolm
[Farquhar?], R. Rowland Moore, C.L. Gilkin
and S.P. Thomas.

Our host and hostess had
prepared for a large club and
felt it quite keenly that some
of our members do not more fully
realize their sense of duty of
attending regularly.

On our walk, we saw
one of the finest and best situated
gardens in the neighborhood. Several
early vegetables had been planted
and one cold frame contained
some nice heads of lettuce ready
for use. A new fence enclosed
the garden which added greatly
to its appearance and which will
save a lot of worry from
the ravages of a particularly industious
old hen.

Above the garden were
two new colony houses for chickens,
built on runners for moving from place
to place, and very conveniently made.

The old blacksmith & wheelwright
shop built by Mahler Chandler
was inspected with great interest but
we found no perpetual motion
machines still running. The only
