Answering M. J. Stablers question, the
majority present would not
delay planting corn this late
to apply dressings of manure
and lime.

E.P. Thomas, having no manure
or lime to go on 2 acres for sweet
corn is advised to use some
quick acting fertilizer. One guest
says use some [plastis]

Now is the time for Frederic Stabler
to plant his watermelon seed.

Mr J.W. Jones speaks of putting
onions with cantelopes which is
supposed to have the effect of
driving away the cantelope beetles.

C. L. Gilkins is told that a 3 year
old colt does loose its middle upper teeth.

More than half advised R. R. Moore
to hire teams in order to sow a
field in cowpeas, owing to the dry
weather, Mr Moore has been forced to
resort to cowpeas for winter feed.
