130th Meeting

Jan 12th 1882 found the H.I. under the new
experience, to most of them, wending their slow
length along some miles of mud,
A Mansard to right of them,
Trough's of mud back of them,
Horses in front of them
Floundered & stumbled!
but, when we reached the noble little pike,
which extended a kind arm far out from the
domain of it's public spirited owner, we were
contented not to moan or sigh,
Neither did we reason why
But knew as we glided by
That our host had not blundered.
It occured to us that, otherwise we should,
in simple justice, be glad when the
meetings come to there remote places during
the last pleasant season. They have the
long road with the heat or cold to encounter
all the time; should not we be willing to
take one unpleasant ride in the year for the
pleasure of having them with us at the other
meetings. The general atmosphere
at Falling Green soon made us forget our
chilly ride and we began business with 16
members & several guests 1st Ques.
