LUCKNOUGH. 6-19-93
Though somewhat slow in
gathering, owing to the heat, 22 mem-
bers of the Home Interest and several guests
were called to order at Luebuough 6-19-93.
for the 247th meeting. After hearing the min
utes of the last meeting at this place we
mustered sufficient energy to saunter out
and admire the beautifully kept lawn
and the trim garden, which showed that
the artistic as well as the material wants of
our host and hostess are catered to.

On our return to the house we had
time to read and adpot the minutes
of last meeting, and to learn that it is
probably not practicable to transplant
salsifi, before supper was announced.

That ever pleasing feature of the pro-
gramme finished by every one-even the
secretary - business was resumed.

Various questions elicted the informa
tion that this is the proper time to nip
chrysanthemums to make bushy plants:

to have them bloom in the house take them
up just before the first freeze, and plant
in pots or [ trees ?]: that fall is the proper
