Questions. Miss M.E. Gilpin asks
who has pigs for sale. They seem
scarce and high but we believe some
were unearthed on the outskirts.

Ben Miller has had his meat
in salt 5 weeks. When shall he
hang it up. Fred Stabler says tonight
which he will do as Sarah
Thomas Miller told him that this
morning.

Mr. Fussell asks what we
think of Prof. Moores declaration
that forest reserves do not conserve
moisture or effect the rain supply
in the least. We all think the
Professor is off his trolley, but ten
thousand scientists will come
to the rescue and assist in
replacing him.

In the matter of high priced corn
C.G. Willson says they are using it
to make beer instead of foodstuffs.

Question. Can we substitute beer
for beef?

Someone remarked that the manufacture of the
thousand and one breakfast foods has
put grain prices up.

Sam Bond has a horse that is
trying to imitate the tricks of his mules
by scratching his ears with his hind feet
(I mean the horses ears and the horses hind
feet). Sam wouldn't object to this if he
(that is the horse) would only use one
foot at a time. But in the case in
point the horse gave an unusual demonstration
by using both hind feet at once.
