A majority of the members who
ordained that the Horticultual should
be called to order at 4.15 reached Tanglewood
some minutes later and it was
nearly five when C. F. Brooke called the
meeting to order.

A letter from the President expressed
his regret that he was not well enough
to be with us, and the reader of
his message was asked to tell him that
we could have only half a Horticultual
without him, and hoped that he
might not soon again be absent.

S. L. Thomas, the first reader gave
us first part of an article by Hetty Green,
the richest American woman, on the making
and keeping of money.

W. E. Magruder read a receipt for
making a spraying mixure

The suggestions for the month's work
by Eliza Brooke, were, as usual to the
point and appreciated accordingly.
