Fred Stabler approves of high ridges

do to use two weeks earlier - only
two or three should be planted in a
hill & there is no waste.

What is the proper time to gather
pumpkins? Do it before a heavy
frost - put on a porch & let the sun
shine on them, do not put on the
cellar floor, but up on a swinging
shelf to prevent rats from geting them.
Is it too late to plant holly hocks &
Sweet William seed? Not too late for
the former, but too late for the latter.
Katherine Janney brought plants of
Rocky Mountain Columbine for distribution.

asked to read at the 1st meeting in
