Airy buttervine is delicious fried, and the
sweet potato pumpkin stewed, mashed, or baked.
Frederick McReynolds sprays his 3 plantings
of lima beans with Watkins dust.

House cats and pole cats will attack sweet corn.
Bentley Thomas said suckers are common on
hybrid corn, which is better if they are pulled off.

Myrtle and pachysandra are the best plantings
under maple trees.

Upon request, Robert Miller gave a detailed
account of his methods for getting bumper lima bean
crops.

After the close of the meeting, enjoyment of the
garden, picnic supper with watermelon passed by our
hostess, made this altogether a delightful occasion.
