It is a mistake to speak of the enemies of the
Christian Religion. There are no enemies of pure
Christianity. . . . Who overcomes
By force, hath overcome but half his foe"

And the truth thus stated is even more
sure when those whom we speak of overcoming
are not foes, but, at the most misguided bretheren.
The advocate of the true Christian religion
need not be concerned about overcoming
antagonists, if they are doing all they can to
make the beauty of their own religion
known by the exemplification of it in their
own lives. "By this shall all men know
that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one
to another. And this is the peace, peace not
such as the world giveth, but the peace
which comes from the controlling and the harmonizing
all the rebellious and discordant
striving in our own hearts.
