tremendous obligation, and which comes out second best, man
or Nature? - Consider now the case of man with respect to
food when first put down into any given region, Let it
be Kamshat Ra - Man opens his eyes: before him stretches a
cranberry meadow, strewn as thick with berries, as
granite ledges in Ceylon with garnets: on one hand amongst
the rocks a clump of raspberries have dropp'd their sub
acid fruit; and on the other, some whortleberry shrubs.
