is divided into different parts andn
in which parts it is inhabited.
The second concerns the story of the world, and
where it began, that is in Asia Major, of
the earthly paradise and where it is located, about India, the
variety of people and beasts and rocks,
the countries of Asia Minor, the peoples
the fish and the trees that are there.
The third concerns Europe and the regions that are there.
Th fourth concerns Africa and the lands that are there
The fifth concerning the islands, and what pertains to them.
The sixth concerns the things of Europe and Africa
in temrs of the beasts and birds
that are there, the 7th concerns other things
they share, the 8th where Hell is placed
and what Hell is.
The ninth why water flows
through the earth, the reasons why sea
water is salty, dark, and warm, and
poisoned flows on earth.
The eleventh, where the mapped earth ends,
and also on various fountains.
