seasons. I recommend however that this com-
mittee shall meet more frequently in order
to keep a rigid over sight of the progress of
[events] & give such shape to them as may be
needed to serve the interests of our friends.
[?] culture parties are pressing for out-
side business privileges. We must adhere
strictly to our rules on this subject in my
Judgment. Has not the time come for a more
intimate relation with the [?] Trustees in
their cooperative work with us?

The death of Robert Bently D.D. since our last
meeting, viz Sept. 1900 leaves us with a
vacancy. Would it not be well for a com-
mittee to be appointed to prepare suitable expres-
sion of our feelings.

Would it, not be well to take special notice
of the International Epworth League Convention to be held in San
Francisco 19-22 of July? I recommend it.
It [offords] me great pleasure to notice the growing
influence of our Institution on the morals of the
State. We have good grounds for gratitude in
this respect. It offords me also gratification at
the sentiment which has fixed on this place as the
regular seat of our Annual Conference.
I highly appreciate the liberality of the P.I.Co. in
reference to the Conference Entertainment.
