Description

Charles Michael Keegan (1865-1949) was a Philadelphia tobacco salesman who is most well known for the formation of "Keegan's Brigade", enlisting over 900 men who volunteered to fight in the Spanish-American War. The Federal Army and the Pennsylvania National Guard ended up preventing this brigade from being deployed and most of the men either volunteered for the army or national guard.
