My Dear Sir
Be kind enough to express to Mrs Stanford the grief felt by this family for her great bereavement.
Out of her life has fallen the greatest earthly loss. A great heart which was here has by God's law, been transfered. The largeness, kindness, and fullness of Governor Stanfords character was best known by her who now lives to mourn him.
any temptations which the influence of wealth could present, and he remained to the end a noble, tender, kindly man.

I would write directly to Mrs Stanford, but those who love her should share the infliction of letters now.
Accept for her the love of this family.
Yours very truly
John Bonness
W.G. North Esq
Secretary.
