Dear Mrs Stanford
I postponed writing
untill [sic] now, as i [sic] did not want to trouble You
Knowing the imense [sic] tokens of simpathy [sic] You
received in Your Bereavement. and I hope
You are more reconciled to Your great loss
it being the will, of God and Mr Stanfords
time had come to Depart from this world to
a better and Happyer [sic] world for i [sic] feel certain
he is in Heaven, or near it, with Gods Help,
he was so kind and Good to every one he met,
every body says so, God rest his soul, and i [sic]
hope with Gods Blessing You will be comforted
