Dear Madam:

Having read of your
numerous charities I would try to
enlist your co-operation in the
following, which though not a
charity would be the making of a
man, in this world of strife and
wants. I have been offered the op-
portunity by a reliable paper pattern
company, the chance of becoming
the sole agent for their product in
all Spanish speaking countries. But
with the condition that I must
do all advertising, catalogue printing,
etc. at my own expense. As I am
not possessed of the required amount
of capital say about $500 to pro-
perly place these patterns in such
countries, I am unable to accept
said offer. These patterns are sold to
me at the uniform price of six
cents each, and can be sold at
