Dear Lady

As an old friend
of Senator Stanford both
in Washington and Frisco
I would ask a favor of you
of a loan of $2,000 to put in
machinery for wagon factory
I have not enough to fit [up?]
the plant-length of my building
is 66 + 59 feet 2 story sise [sic] of block
159 frontage 227 deep will
give you security on same
valued $5000. Can give our
best buisness [sic] and Ministers
as refferance [sic]. I live a true
Christian life am not a
crank but mean biusness [sic]
