I learn that you were a very
kind to the charitable I am very
sorry to say that I am left without
a surport [sic] as my dear husband died
of blood poison he was very ansious [sic]
to leave me well provide and with a
home before he died I am 59 years
and have a little girl nine years I am
ansious [sic] to have a home where she
can have a better care and goto school
I have plenty for to keep house with but
not money to pay rent and live can I
ask you if you can do me this kind
favor as to give me three or four
hundred dollars that will keep me in
my home and liveing [sic] for one year
