Mrs Stanford, reading in this mornings paper of you transferring {stocks?} bonds valued at $30,000,000 to an institution of learning. It is not for me to say what you should do with your immense wealth. I think a {practical} learning so better than Higher education. I am a Woman who inherited $3,000 which by my industry and frugality have doubled it and also I have an invalid Husband to take care of and on what I possed I pay more taxes than the rich, I always contend if God gave me Health I would not be ashamed to {answer?} that was right. I think if you would help those, who would help themselves, by some donation it would do more

good than giving it to a University.
