pleased to have you deposit the funds with the Pres. of the college, his name & address is, W. H. McCauley, C.C.College, Des Moines, Iowa.

I would like to have $100 or more sent to me that I may provide myself with the necessary clothing before entering the school.

I am unable to secure any more of your address and should this fall into the hands of the wrong person I would be pleased to have them send it to the one addressed, providing they know the correct address; but like the Irishman "if you don't receive this be sure and let me know."

Again requesting you to give this "earnest request" your attention.

and sincerely hoping, my request will be granted, that I may enter college Jan 6th '02. I will close. You can send the money on the condition I have before mentioned, I can assure you, you need not be afraid of sending the whole amount to me.

If you would not be willing to give perhaps you would lend me the money and I could repay it after I had finished the course and secured a position. I feel sure you will be willing to help me as I judge you are very generous considering the immense donation you have to the University. Awaiting a prompt reply, I remain very truly yours

Miss Zanna F. LeHane Ft. Dodge, Iowa

P.S. Please with hold my name from the press.
