Sunday April 15th
My very dear friend Jennie
You are one of the noblest women
God ever made and I Praise His
holy name He has given me such
a friend as "Your Lathrop Stanford"
On the 21st Dec. 87 My dear Husband
was forced to tell me we were homeless
and feared penniless on the 14th April
88 word came from the Capitol of
the U. S. where all good things —
ought to come from. There is a home
for you at 292 State St until you
are transplanted which I trust
to a "House not made with hands
eternal in the Heavens" I cannot
find words to express a heart full
to overflowing of love & gratitude
to one who claims sisterhood not
by blood but true affection. God
helping me I will try not to misplace

for my furniture. It will take
six weeks to do the work that
means two months. You say
Henry did the business for you
please give him my kind regards
and many thanks. Have you thought
of insuring the property. If not
shall I do it for you. What you
have done is already known
congratulations were sent to me
this morning from the Church
through Mr Covert. I must
say I never knew I had so many
friends. My kindest regards
to Mr Stanford. Ever & Ever
Your loving grateful friend
Dot
Lathrop Memorial prospering
will write again in regard
to it
