I suppose by the time you receive this communication, you have seen or been communicated with by the representatives of the Pac/Mail Steamship Co. in Honolulu, regarding the Steamer "China" and accommodations, if you care to avail yourself of the opportunity to make the trip to Japan and return.
At present everything seems to be moving along smoothly and I hope you will not in any way worry regarding affairs here. I do not wish to worry you with any business affairs here. I do not wish to worry you with any business affairs as a good rest I know will do you much good, so when you return you will be much benefitted by your trip.
We are all well at home and hope on receipt of this, it will find you and Miss Mertha enjoying the same.
