Mrs. Senator Stanford, My dear Mrs. Stanford,
Having heard through Mrs. Senator Vest that it would not be convenient for you to call and see our orphan boys for some time. I thought it best to send you the orphans welcome greeting which they were going to have for you. I also take the liberty of sending you a little medal of dear good St. Joseph.

Learning that Miss Myrick had resigned her position as kindergarten teacher at Palo Alto, I write you in regard to the above position not knowing who else to address.
I am a graduate of the Class of '92 of San Jose Kindergarten Training School, and

have had six months' experience in a private kindergarten.
I am very anxious to have a steady position. My mother is a widow and has labored hard to maintain and fit me for my chosen position.
