My Dear Mrs Stanford

Mr J T Wilson handed
me a short time since the
inclosed [sic] letters written to him
by your darling boy in June 1879

These letters written
when a child are so manly
and thoughtful, I know you
will appreciate them as only
a mother can

and how lonely you will
