Page 75 line 32, After "cannonbone", insert in the hind leg Page 77 line 35, The "Extensors" mentioned here cannot be those which have been described before but the extensors of the carpus and foot, [which insert?] Page 78 line 12, For "it" read, the scapula - It is [uncertain?] [now?] whether bone or muscle is meant. Page 81, Fig.1. The lines at the base of this figure are inaccurate. Otherwise the horse is only 14 hands high insteadof sixteen Plate XIV. It is impossible in these silhoutte plates to tell which is the off and which the near leg, a difficulty which could be remedied by simply drawing one or two little white lines, It is a grave defect in studying them.

I appreciate your noble generosity to this struggling college in my state, and also the delicate and exceedingly pleasant compliment paid me, in making me the vehicle of your splendid gift, and in doing so, with words and expressions, in your letter, so very agreeable to me, personally.

The gift will make him the happiest man in America.
What a blessed thing it is that the Dear Lord, who has dealt so bountifully with you in material things, has also endowed you and your dear wife with generous hearts, and earnest purposes, to do with his gifts to you, the greatest possible good to the world.
