My dear Doctor

Yours of July 19th has
been received.

Enclosed please find
approval for the appointment
of Dr. Murray.

We were glad to hear
from you and learn that
you had returned to California
in good condition
and much pleased to hear
so favorable an account
of the health of your
venerable mother.

We have met with
pleasant weather ever
since our arrival in
Europe. I believe my
health has improved
through I am not so
well but what I shall
accept the doctors advice
and return to Aix-les-
Brins for further treatment.
