Twentieth of this month I dont think they will be there before the 1st January
I have taken a good deal of pains with good weather to post myself about the winters in the Wasatch and east to Cheyenne and I believe the clauses are 9 out of then that the UP will not be at the mouth of [wiber?] before with Spring. But it has seen as if our track lagged else. It would have been strong faith in our being first to the month if wether, I do think there is ground for hope. But if Charley would stay out to the front and on the line and see to pushing forward material would not the thing go faster
Tomorrow I start again for the Prommintory I want to see the men on the important Points
Yours truly
