Dear Mother and Daddy,
Prospects for the quarter
don’t look too bright. I fear
I’m going to become a wall
flower because I’ve been out
of circulation so long and its
hard to get back in, although
now should be an easier
time than any. It seems
Bob has already done quite
well for himself - he’s taking
someone to the ballet. I’m
glad he’s taking someone out,
but why in the world does
he have to take her somewhere
so divine as the ballet, um.
I don’t think he is planning
to see me until the sixteenth
of February. If some one
does start asking me out, I’ll
have to try not to expect so
much; no one will ever take
