we wanted to go to both of the dances. But you should have seen some of the costumes. There was one boy there dressed as little boy blue or something, anyway he had on a velvet suit with short breeches, a wide lace collar with a red bow, and a bog straw hat. Another boy had on a long pink nightgown and a little baby cap. They had lucious ice cream cones, candied pop corn, and lolypops to eat. The whole dance was just hysterical. Of course I saw Bob there, and I'm sure he must have seen me, but he didn't make any signs of having done so. Anyway we didn't speak, I certainly wasn't going to rush over and make him see me. Besides John was very entertaining, and I had a wonderful time with him. He is better looking than Bob and is quite a bit slighter so that it makes him seem smaller. I thought Bob might come over today, but I guess he won't now.

I think that you know everything now. I won't be so long in writing next time.
