I'm thrilled to death at the
thought of doing something
like that. I only hope that
I am capable of it.

Friday night we had the
Spring Sing. It was really a
wonderful afair. They had
it out in the amphitheater
and about six thousand people
came. There were about
twenty-six different groups
competing. Some of them sang
very well, and then there were
some that weren't at all
good. We came in second
and got a perfectly hideous
vase and a rather dilapidated
box of fruit. We only missed
coming in first by three points
and it was very discouraging
because we think we lost on
the way we were dressed.
We all had on yellow sweaters
and grey skirts and the
girls that came in first all
wore black coats and white
gloves and scarfs, and it
really did look awfully good.
But our song was much more
