My darling,
After the news, now a special page for you, to tell you how very much I love you. Got back of your wonderful letters yesterday to perk up an already sunny day. Tell Don congratulations on the Dondi MBDA! And I know you'll enjoy the ballet with Tom, and I"m so glad that the guys are thinking of you and helping to make the time more fun and pass faster. ANd on't you worry about writing during finals week, darling. That will be while I'm on the 3 week vacation anyway, so it will just mean a slightly smaller stack of mail when I get back. And I'll try to keep writing to you every day, but I may run nto the same difficulty when our finals come around. I'm really no where near ready for next weeks midterms anyway.

My sweethear it's now almost 8:15 and I'm still here in bed. And breakfast is at 8:30. So I'll save comment on your other very special letter until tomorrow. Only let me say now that it seemed especially nice to get it here in Rome, for this is really the eternal city, where life has gone on for so long and yet sill remains from the earliest days. This is the first place where I've felt so strongly that I would want to come back someday with you for another long visit - the other cities were fascinating in their way but Rome awaits them in its wonder and magnificence. It could never cease being interersting. So here is the perfect place to think abot our coming life together darling. In fact as Mac and I sat talking in the darkened Coloseum last night, about the future, etc, I said that the only thing I felt sure of was that 20 years from now whatever adventures of life I'm facing, all my imagination and hopes now are framed in terms of being with you, my love. With you by my side our life will be fascinating and rich together, no matter where or how we spend it. My sweetheart, I love you, I love, I love you with all my being.
