Hi Sweetheart - 31.5.60

Well hell it is the end of May finally ---> now it really does seem like only
a few days until June 11, since tomorrow will be in the same month. I have
just about figured out what my connections arrangements will be after
Vienna. I had visions of spending Friday night in a train station or
something (Since MJE won't get there until too late for my needs), but I will
avoid that fate. I'll ride with them to Nüenberg probably, and then
take the train to Stuttgart. Rather than trying to come on to Beutelbachs
to stay(which would mean catching a 6 AM train back to Stuttgart Saturday)
I'll just go to the youth hostel in Stuttgart. Then I only need take a bus out
to the Stuttgart airport before 8 AM Saturday, which should be easy to make.
So getting home is all set. I don't know if I mentioned it - now Jeanette and
NAC are not staying in Vienna while I am there, but are going on to
Budapest for 3 days (more insights to add to their Russia experiences). So
I'll be spending some of my time with Ted Baxter(who's riding there with us
and staying for the whole music festival period - to June 26) and anyone
else who happens to be there.

Darling, I have a couple of 'business requests' for you. Could you leave
an envelope at the registrar's office for them to send me a transcript of my
grades when school is out, sinceI won't know my Lit grade over here. I think
that is a standard service they offer. Also, stop by the Selective Service Office
on Inner Quad and try to get things stasrted on my deferment renewal(2-
s is the classification). They have an information form which they may even
let you fill out for me (if not save it until I get home + I'll mail it to them)
They are also supposed to send my standing in class to my Bakersfield draft board.
My Selective Service No. is 4 - 78 - 38 - 577. The Local Draft Board is
Local Board No. 78 I hope that is all the [dope?] they need that you

a fine secretary! And I promise you can sit on my lap even and in
only 11 days too! Might even chase you around the office like a good
