Dear Mother,

I really dont think you
deserve this letter as I have
received none from you since
Christmas. However it is raining
this afternoon and I have
nothing to do.

I am now a full fledged
member of the staff of the
"Daily Palo Alto" which is
the seventeenth largest college
paper with a circulation of
2350. I just heard it arrive
so I will look and see if
my last story is in it.
