supper and heard a lecture
by Dr. Jordan since starting
this letter. Dr. Jordan was
the first president of Stanford
and has been everywhere
and knows everyone. He
was in Europe trying to prevent
a World War in nineteen
fourteen and he lectured
tonight on conditions in
Europe. He says Poincare
was and is as eager for
war as the Kaiser.

I have bought a new
tennis racquet and have

started playing again. I put
some dope on my calous
which is a compound of
ether & alcohol. It is eating
it away and I have not
suffered from it since
using this Nyal preparation.

How did you like the
Grand Canyon and what did
you do when there?

I have started out very
well in physics, fairly well
in Spanish and poorly
