end, largely a fiasco, I think that colleges in general could profit greatly in following one aspect of the foreign area and language program as taught in ASTP.

That is in the close integration of the study of language, economic and political geography, history, art and culture. I found that close liaison very interesting and revealing and wished I had had similar courses while an undergraduate.

I do not intend to return to Stanford or any other school. I feel that I have as much schooling as I need and can afford.
