Parramatta June 1st 1821

My Loved Brother
I now in haste sit down to write
you a letter to thank you most heartely for yours
bearing date of June a twelvemonth old ale
too 5 days you mention a nother you have
written to me in your last to Father dated Sept
(it came by Mr Kendall) which I have not
received at present but long for. The Bonnets you
deputed Mrs Hosking to but are come. They are
come in pretty good condition the straw is beautiful
and when I tate off a few straws which turn up
in the front the shape will be exceedingly
neat and becoming. I receive mine very
greatfully and with every acknowledgement of love
assuring you that even now such bonnets in
this part are a prize, my other is not quite done
yet. Sisters I am certain would sincerely join
me in these acknowledgements but they do
not yet know of their arival. They are well
Jonathan and his wife are very striving and at the
same time saving their little Rowland is well
he grows fast and has several teath. Mrs Jame (?)
expects soon to be confined again - Brother is
well and gets on but he had every thing to his hnd
not like Poor Bro J but he has no reason to com
plain I think they live rather too near, still
they are loving. Our Dear Mother is this day poorly
with the rhumatizem but of late she has enj
oyd good health. James has been unwell but now quite
