than which I surely believe we have never upon the whole had a better for the Colony — The workers of darkness — Missled [misled] Popery Men — The proud & haughty — & the lacivious all join together to put down truth — light — & prosperity — Mr Jones's is in my view a telling speech — I feel very thankful with all their bitterness & enmity they are compelled to acknowledge the uprightness & integrity of our old Friend — I sincerely pray that this struggle may tend to the glory of God & the necessary good of the nation There are & will be Wicked & Unreasonable men

From whom may we ever be delivered — The Ministry work satisfactorily with the Governor this I am thankful for but I fear there will be a disolution of the House & if so it will tell upon the Country — The Bishop & Mr B have gone up to Curryjong [Kurrajong] for a week's retreat I am happy to Mr B is restored again — Mr Cowper had rather a narrow escape from a madman who got in to his Office but I do not know the particulars — he expects to be up again on Sabbath day —
