April 25, Sun, total, but not visible
at Greenwich, partial at Cape of
Good Hope ; begins 3.27 p.m. ; mid-
dle 4.25 p.m. ; ends 5.18 p.m.

October 4, Moon, partial, visible at
Greenwich ; begins 9.39 p.m. ; middle
10.39 p.m. ; ends 11.40 p.m.

October 19, Sun, annular, visible
partially at Greenwich, 4.11 p.m. ;
5.8 p.m. Sun sets 4.57.
