two medals to Professor W. L.
Waterhouse for work which
will add millions to our
national wealth and improve
the daily loaf.
Both the Institute of Agri-
cultural Science and the Royal
Society awarded him their
medals for research which pro-
duced a new wheat, Gabo. It
is rust-resistant and has high
milling qualities
Research Committee of
Sydney University has in-
formed the professor that
"during the whole history of
the University your work is
considered by many to be one
of its outstanding contribu-
tions."
