I have never paid less than
2s/ for a Bottle of Wine, usually
more, & have much with none
more than passable – Tho
this is a country of Vineyards,
& Hungary close by still more
so – I do not see, where Gladstone
is to fine the cheap, wholesome
& palatable Wine about which
he discourses so eloquently –
On the other
hand the Viennese Beer is cheap
& excellent – Give my love to
