My dear William,

All your welcome packets with
a letter from Nicholson, to 21^st. October have
been received, after a few days detention which
arose from tempestuous weather in the
Mediterranean, retarding both the Marseilles
& Southampton mails. It is a source of
much enjoyment to peruse your various
details, which came first, by the French route,
& after a day or two are followed by Isabella's
lighter descriptions filling up the picture &
completing it. We are only sorry that you
should have had any cause of worry about
money matters, but I trust the next twelve
months will bring things into an easy
& satisfactory position again. I now enclose
Bill of Lading of seeds & university Robes,
shipped in the Liberator, with a note from
Donaldson & Lambert relative thereto, from which
you will notice that the box of seeds is in the
Cabin & can be got at immediately on arrival
at Sydney. The box from Ede's in which are
