My dear Elizabeth

I shall write you but
a few lines as I know you will
be all deeply grieved to read
your letters from Bromley Common
telling the sad news of poor Mrs
Charles Normans death – so
many days have passed since
it took place I hope by this
time your Aunt may be able
to tell more comforting words
about the poor young husband
for when she kindly wrote to
me – she said he was so over
whelmed as to be quite ill –
it is such a sad death – &
in this instance seems to have
been quite unexpected –

I know your kind hearts
will feel for us also in the
loss of another dear nephew –
