to thrive better each year – but
all doctors forbid school for him
so I am fortunate in having a very
efficient tutor now for them and
they are working very steadily –
but it is a drawback that they are
deprived the emulation of school
life – I used to fret about it but
now I feel that God knows what is
best for us – and I do the very best
I can under the circumstances
to give them a good education –
I have a great cheer just now in
the company of one of my dear
Warthill neices [nieces] – Florence Leslie
she is so much the better of being
here, and such a delightful –
companion – I feel my absence from
old friends at times very keenly
the more so, that I am so often ailing
and it has been so great a help
this winter that she & Walter Leslie
