have been here for part of the winter
I have not yet decided whether I
shall stay abroad all summer
It really must be somewhat a
question of Lsd [£.s.d]. because these long
journeys with such a suite are
a very serious item – I hope that
your dear mother is well and give
her my very true love – and do
send me a line once more dear Bessie
my love to Uncle William and tell
him I never forget the camelias [camellias] at
the Camden Vineyard nor the tour
he took me there – And tell me
about your Husband & children
and your own dear self – Dear Bessie
believe me I do sympathise in your
joys & your sorrows, & although bad
headaches force my pen to comparative
silence my heart is warm & affecte [affectionate]
as ever – I send this to dear Libbys
care I m always your

very affecte cousin
