Ethel came at 4 & we went to Lady B. for tea
Daltons also there. Ethel & I came
home
& had supper together. Snow on street.

3 Mon
Nancy came home from Mrs
Dalrymple a wreck. Got home late
owing to strike & went to bed fagged &
cold. Grey day.

4 Tue
Cold day. Nina B. came in & sent
me to take Nancy home from Printers
collapsed. No one wd. give taxi. Got
home at 8 o'clock tired & cold. Dr
& Mrs Prowse there & general upset.
strike on tubes. Grey day & fog.

5 Wed
Snowing. Sludge inches deep.
Strike making transportation difficult.
Went to Waterloo to see Ethel off to Paris.
Walked back. Got home after 8.
Did chores for Nancy. Very ex-
hausted & frantic for a little
warmth & privacy.
