Busy day at office. Fine
day but misty fog. Jno. Varney
came for me at 20 to six & we had
something to eat & [at] Flemings. Met Mr F &
Dr Synge at 25 Clanricarde Gdns. & went to Fletchers
46 Addison Rd. to hear J.V. read Russian
yarn. Home after 12
4 Fri
Slogging at office all day in
clutter & disorder. Home thoroly
exhausted. No privacy.
5 Sat
Fine day but not sunny of
course. Rush at office to get away
to Harrow. Mrs Dalrymple violent
as a mad dog rather spoiled the day.
But Alister was charming
& Fred Post came
home & we put A. A.
to bed & got supper.
