MARCH 1919

16 Sun
Cold grey day. Very miserable.
Spent it miserably in house.
Deathly cold & queer.

17 Mon
Sun early but cold grey day raining in
evening. Miss Jones came & fitted
me. F.P. ran up at 5.30. Felt
terribly ill and cold.

18 Tues
F.P. rang again about
Jean Lambie's flat. Cold dull
wet day. Oh for privacy & warmth
& a little peace & rest alone ['alone' underlined]

19 Wed
Cold dull wet day. Life
a sheer trial. No comfort
peace, pleasure or beauty or
rest in it for me
