DECEMBER, 1925.

Monday 7
Very, very heavy white frost like
snow in streets & dark
& chill all day. Evidence that
the absconder is in the Riviera
fleecing people to hand from
one Douglas W. Thorborn. Note
from him to his wife refusing
to give his address. Mrs
Lanchester called. Maj
Hardy-Sym, Maj Lovelock &
Mr Gaunt called up. No
word of Miss Hodgson. I
was so ill with chill I
lost my voice & was sore
all over. Mrs Hamilton
called up.
