Wet day but exceedingly
mild. Had
lunch with Miss Champion
at her little restaurant down
stairs & walked home.

4 Mon
Alone in office. Worked
very hard on typing guarantor
letters. Had dinner with
Mrs Findlay & Miss Lawson
at 5 Upper Bedford Place. Home
& to bed.

5 Tues - Dividends due
Finished letters
& took them to Mr. Elgood at
11. Thence to my own bank
got gloves changed at
[Lewis's ?]. Cooked Miss H. & Mrs. A.
lunch.

6 Wed - Epiphany
Mild very wet day. Same office
routine. Fed the animals at
lunch. How strange if they did
anything for me.

Mr Elgood, I think would be Frank Elgood, President of the National Housing and Town Planning Council, where Miles was working at this time. Mr Aldridge, secretary of the Council, had resigned in November 1925.
I think the place where Miles changed her gloves might be "Lewis's"
