Cold wind. Snow through the afternoon.
Pottered in office. Depressed. Usual [when?]
news would be in letter I didn't open.
Home and to bed early.
5 Fri
Fine day but cold. Invited Mrs Aldridge to
office for meal and then took her to theatre
to see Uncle Vanya with Jean
Forbes Robertson etc in cast.
6 Sat
Fine day. Office routine. Mis H left at 11.
Had lunch and came home and had rest. Pottered
and went to bed. Had bath.

Decided to send "Old Blastus" to Lady Forbes-
Robertson but writing to ask her permission
first. This may be a good chance.
